Come in From the Cold

unnamed (18)unnamed (20)unnamed (19)Here we go again…the rain, oh that friggin rain! Except this time its a pretty terrible storm. Six to nine inches of rain, insane crazy winds from thirty to seventy miles per hour depending which part of California you live in. Oh hello winter! You might have snow days on the East Coast, in Cali… we call it a rain day. Cancelled all my training appointments that were private in home and face time training only (just a little safer!)

The morning started out with a client early AM,  able to climb back into bed with my kitties and cozy up. Tried to read my magazine which is nearly impossible with a twelve pound fur ball holding it down, not to mention I feel guilty ignoring her.  Moving onto this afternoon, just a little while ago….poured some Champagne pulled out the snacks & sat down with my favorite cozy scarf on my lap  (biggest scarf I have ever owned) and I am going to attempt to read my Cali Style magazine yet again! (no cat this time) Knock on the door, Fed Ex… my Christmas Cards have come! At least I will get something accomplished today.

XOXO

The Dark Side

 Made Me Do It

unnamed (10) unnamed (9)Well… not really…. but I can’t seem to get motivated today. I started wrapping presents and getting holiday organized (even put on holiday music) but then a bottle of wine called and said “hey you should pour some of me…sit, read the new issue of Domino magazine and totally relax for a little while” (at least until my cocktail party tonight) oh and the rain! California can we just turn off the faucet for a little while, just for tonight?? I have a huge umbrella…big enough for at least five people, not sure what my handsome date is going to use though! 😉 Have a fabulous Friday!

Get Sparkly

unnamed (4)unnamed (5) unnamed (6) unnamed (7)I have slightly started decorating for the holidays. Things have been on hold for me with the news of my beautiful cousin, I have not been in the most festive mood. Every year I choose a different decor, could be red, silver and gold, gold or just silver. I am sure you can tell I really love muted tones and clean lines. I went a little on the more modern side this year with all black, white, silver and a little pops of teal. I must say I think it is rather divine and turning out quite cozy.

I adore sparkle and shine, (load up on sparkly balls) love the reflection and light that glass, silver and metal bounce around the room.  No tree this year, last year I had two Norwegian Pines that were just lovely… now they are outside in my backyard enjoying their freedom. Lights will find their way into metal baskets, fresh pine in glass vases and champagne glasses….a few more holiday wrapped packages and hopefully way more cheer.

Weekend Matters…..

It’s an iffy weather kind of day here in Northern Cali. These are the Saturdays I find myself not wanting to leave the house (that rarely happens) Feet up with a cup of coffee, flipping through magazines, some good tunes…snuggling with my man & my kitties seems like the best idea I have had all week. As you can see Mr. Pickles will steal my spot as soon as I dare to move…(sighs) I am sure those of you with pets know what that is like. Have a wonderful weekend! XOXO

Monday Madness

Fresh from farmers market – pink pretties!
The cutest and softest enemy of the pink pretties
The death of the pink pretties

Imagine my surprise when I awoke this morning to find my roses decapitated almost every single last one but a few… atlas it did make for a lovely photo (flower petals all over my vintage Louis Vuitton) however the rest of the flower slaughter was not nearly as pretty!

XOXO
